Melanie Baumann
Executive Director
Melanie brings over a decade of experience from her time at the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport, where she led multi-ministry initiatives spanning recreation and parks, health and physical activity, mental health, and inclusive education for students with disabilities. She holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan, where her thesis explored the sport experiences of Aboriginal adults with disabilities—an area that reflects her commitment to equity and inclusion in recreation.
Her leadership has extended across several public-sector boards and is an avid volunteer in her community, including the Red Cross Friendly Calls Program, coaching flag football and hockey and the Palliative Care Program in Regina.
SARP Committees
The Governance Committee will assist the Board of Directors in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities over SARP’s governance, policy development and renewal, and risk management.

The Finance Committee will assist the Board of Directors in fulfilling the oversight responsibilities over SARP’s financial reporting, internal control, and external audit.
