S.A.R.P.'s Board of Directors Share the Pathway to Professional Status (PPS) Committee's Final Report
The Saskatchewan Association of Recreation Professionals is excited to share the final report of the Pathway to Professional Status (PPS) Committee. After investing numerous dedicated hours, the committee concluded its activities following the Board's motion to dissolve it this past fall. The report summarizes its work over the past two years and shares the committee's conclusions and recommendations for the organization to consider moving forward.
In the words of committee Chair, and current S.A.R.P. Board Chair, Lara Schroeder:
"This committee's work has been nothing short of essential for our association. We've explored the core of our community's needs, aspirations, and challenges, and the result is a report that reflects both our findings and considerations to move forward with. I am immensely grateful for the dedication, passion, and commitment of each committee member. Their efforts have not only shaped the report but have set the stage for a more vibrant and engaged association.”
In line with our commitment to improved communication, we encourage you to explore the final report, which is available on our website. We strongly value the insights and perspectives of our members and welcome the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations regarding the report or the future direction of our association.
As part of the path forward, the Board of Directors has already initiated an ad-hoc Membership Committee based on the PPS Committee’s work. The newly formed committee is eager to pursue recommendations from the report and to share these findings with membership as they embark on potential change initiatives in the coming months.
Exciting change is on the horizon, and we can't wait to unveil additional developments and updates that will further enhance the value of the association and your membership. Let's continue this journey together towards a brighter and more connected future for the Saskatchewan Association of Recreation Professionals.
Thank you for being a vital part of our community!
